Julie Keating is an artist living and working in Nalangil, Victoria.
She has exhibited widely throughout Australia over the last twenty years and her work has been shortlisted and selected for many prize exhibitions.
In 2018 she did an Arts Residency in the Netherlands and developed a strong interest in landscape painting. Returning to Australia, she has held a number of solo exhibitions focusing on the landscape of the Western District.
In 2020 she bought an old property in Nalangil with frontage to one of the hyper-saline Basins, which affords her endless opportunities to observe the changing light over a stunning landscape.
Her paintings aim to transport the viewer and to create a quiet space for contemplation.
